Everyone is invited to participate in the first annual Backyard Bird Count in Marfa.
The count will serve as an informal baseline of our local populations to be built upon and utilized in coming years.
But we don't just want avid birders to participate! It is meant to be a fun activity for all game and curious people of any age or level of experience.
A tally sheet with a list of our local winter birds was printed in last week's Big Bend Sentinel, which is still available at their shop - there is also a file of the tally sheet attached below.
Results will be printed in the Sentinel in January.
