Actors performing Radio Plays in the Time of Corona include:
Diana Burbano, a Colombian immigrant, is an Equity actor, a playwright and a teaching artist at South Coast Repertory and Breath of Fire Latina Theatre Ensemble.vHer plays focus on female protagonists and social issues. As an actor she originated the roles of Ama de Casa in the Spanish version of Menopause the Musical, Thumb in Imagine, and Ana Guerrero in Jose Cruz Gonzales' Long Road Today at South Coast Repertory. She was in Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s Latinx Play Project and was Marfa Live Arts’ guest playwright in 2018.
David DeLaO received his BFA in Theater from Sul Ross State University and for the past nine years has pursued the craft of acting making numerous appearances in television, film and commercials. He has been a working actor with the Screen Actors Guild for the past five years.
Georgeanne Kalweit is a singer-songwriter and voice talent from Minneapolis who has been residing in Italy for 30 years. She got her start singing jingles for Italian TV commercials and was the lead vocalist under BMG-Sony with the Milan band Delta V (Monaco ‘74 & Le Cose Cambiano.) In 2014 she performed in Marfa, through Marfa Live Arts, while on a five city US tour. The Ep Swiss Bikes produced with her new project, The Kalweit Project was released in April 2019.
Robert Ashker Kraft has used his voice to make his living for decades. His work as a professional voice talent can be heard in every format from radio, TV, internet, games and film, to the world of Anime, where he performs in numerous English-dub Features for ADV Films. He currently Writes, Produces and Voices audio for Radio, TV, and Film in his VoiceKraft studio in Paige, TX.
Giselle Marie Muñoz is an award-winning Latina actor and is Co-Founder + Community Director of Austin Arthouse Film Festival spotlighting filmmakers from across the world who defy conventions, champion art + challenge audience expectations.
Arthur Ruíz started acting at a young age appearing in school plays and community theater throughout his formative years in West Texas. At eighteen Arthur started acting in film productions across Texas and in Los Angeles. Currently, Arthur travels back and forth from California to West Texas getting involved in productions from time to time. He had the lead role in Crosstown 88 by Mónica Sánchez which was produced by Marfa Live Arts in 2019.
Mónica Sánchez is a playwright, director and actor. Beginning in New Mexico with La Compañía de Teatro and in California where she worked with Luís Valdez' El Teatro Campesino as well as The Magic Theatre; Campo Santo; Eureka; Word for Word; Intersection for the Arts, Luís Alfaro, Culture Clash, the Latino Theatre Lab, South Coast Repertory, San Diego Repertory, Cornerstone Theatre, Playwright's Arena, and Company of Angels to name a few. Her play, Los Dreamers received the Distinguished Achievement for the Rosa Parks Playwriting Award as well as the Kennedy Center Latinx Playwriting award. Mónica was Marfa Live Arts’ guest playwright in 2019.
Susan Vasher is an Earthling and an Educator for at-risk youth currently living and loving in the awe and splendor of the Pacific Northwest. She has training and experience in various mediums but would rather be swimming.
