Being read to is one of the most beneficial activities supporting early childhood literacy, but many students in far West Texas are not read to at home. Read Big Bend volunteers fill the gap by reading to small groups of students at their local school, and together provide hundreds of hours of reading time to students throughout our region. We have programs at:
Marfa Elementary * Dirks-Anderson Elementary (Fort Davis) * Marathon Elementary *
Van Horn Elementary School * Valentine ISD * Alpine Elementary School
