On Thursday, December 12, 2019, choreographer and current Chinati artist in residence Kim Brandt will host an open studio at the Locker Plant on East Oak Street from 7:00 to 8:00 PM. Everyone is invited to attend and the event is free. Kim Brandt is an artist and choreographer who has been in residence at Chinati for the months of November and December. Her work involves the development of movement scores that explore physical, spatial, and temporal relationships to place, and the symbiotic relationship between bodies and the environments within which they move. Brandt has presented her work at MoMA PS1, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, SculptureCenter, the Kitchen, Pioneer Works, the Shed, ISSUE Project Room, Artists Space, Klaus Von Nichtssagend Gallery, and other venues.
