We have a few Jury trials for Justice Court at the courthouse on Monday, and since the docket was called on fairly short notice, the Court was unable to go through the long process of gathering a Jury pool by advance notice. This procedure includes procuring a potential jury list and mailing out notices with enough time for respondents who have either exemptions or ground for dismissals to respond back to the Court. If you believe you are qualified and impartial, you are invited to come to the courthouse Monday morning prior to Ten AM to have the Constable gather a jury pool. There will be some payment if you are chosen, and snacks and drinks for anyone who comes will be made available. Court proceedings are public and open to all.
This is a great opportunity to see how Justice Court functions. It's the court closest to the people, and it's my honor to preside.
Thank you for reading and participating. Sincerely,
