First, Chat told me there was no outage. Then they told me I had no minutes (I had 154.14 minutes). Then (on my third and penultimate chat) they mentioned the tower problem and that it would be fixed late Monday. Then Wednesday at 1.59 P.M. () Then Thursday at 5 A.M. I still have no service. Getting honest, accurate answers from Chat is about as effective as howling at the moon. Mark Twain once said something to the effect that the only criminal class native to America was Congress. If he was alive today he'd include technology companies.
a while back i had a problem porting a phone number from Straight Talk to Cricket (both ATT subsidiaries). I ended up calling ATT directly and they were able to fix it. You might try calling ATT to find out what is going on. 1-800-331-0500. Also, one of the local ATT installers is Asa and his number is 1-432-244-7466. He might have some info.
My wife is is on AT&T prepaid, and her phone only works on the north side of the house. The phone (AT&T LG G3) used to work everywhere in the house, but last week, it started not receiving or sending calls out when she is in her office which is on he south side of the house. The outgoing calls errors out on "no network available". I've got a Moto G4 that works with GSM and CDMA and I put her AT&T sim in it, but it didn't work on the north side of the house either. I'm on Tracfone CDMA (verizon) tower and it is working fine. I suspect AT&T cell tower equipment is going out. I'm now looking to switch her to Verizon prepaid. They seem to have a stronger signal and better coverage.
