RESIDENTIAL ADOBE OWNERS IN MARFA AFFECTED BY RISING TAXES
Please join us in addressing the Presidio County Appraisal District (PCAD) Office at their Board of Directors meeting THURSDAY, DECEMBER 7th in PRESIDIO, Texas. A group of concerned Marfa residents attended the PCAD Board of Directors meeting last month in Marfa on October 23rd to talk about the increase in residential property taxes of adobe houses here in town after a new classification for adobe homes was instituted last year. At this second meeting we hope to have further dialogue and want people who are affected by this issue to have their concerns heard.
If you need or can offer a ride to Presidio on Thursday please contact: email@example.com. ------- -------- -------- -------- -------- DUENOS DE CASAS DE ADOBE EN MARFA AFECTADOS POR EL INCREMENTO DE LOS IMPUESTOS

Dear Sandro and Marfa adobe-home dwellers interested in the appraised value issue,
The chief appraiser has tentatively rescheduled the 10am Thursday, December 7 board meeting in Presidio for 2:30pm THURSDAY, DECEMBER 14IN PRESIDIO at the Presidio ISD boardroom on account of the winter storm that's expected to descend on us Wednesday afternoon and Thursdayas a safety matter to keep the good people of Marfa, Presidio, and Presidio County off the highways and roadways.
As perhaps you've noticed by the agenda, and from our personal discussions last week, the adobe value schedule isn't on the December agenda. As discussed by board members at the last meeting and as we discussed personally last week that this is primarily a Marfa issue, the adobe value schedule will be placed for discussion on the January 2018 board meeting agenda in Marfa, time and date to be decided.
As always, you and everyone are welcome to attend all PCAD meetings and may address the board for 3-5 minutes, but again, the adobe value schedule will be discussed at the January meeting in Marfa.
Thank you all,
Robert Halpern, member Presidio County Appraisal District board of directors, representing Marfa ISD
